Order, configure and install an SSL certificate to Dataways Web Hosting Services

Order new SSL Certificate

 

1. Visit https://dwh.dataways.gr and login to your account. Your login credentials are the email and the password you chose when you created your account.

 

 

2. From the menu at the top of the page, navigate to Services--> Order new Services.

 

 

3. At the new page, click on the "Show menu" button on the top left corner of the page, underneath the "Home" option.

 

 

4. From the new menu, choose "SSL Certificate" for 1 or 2 years.


 

 

5. In the next page you see all available certificates. If you wish for a simple certificate for a website or a mailserver, select "Comodo Essential Certificate". If you wish to know more about the differences between the available certificate, click here.


 

 

6. In the next page, at the "Certificate Subject Name" field, please make sure to type the correct name for the domain your are issuing your certificate. Confirm your choice, then click "Continue". Please remember that when the final certificate is issued, it will automatically include the "www" prefix. You don't have to type it before your domain.


 

 

7. In the next page, please review and confirm your order and then click "Checkout".

 

When you finish with your transaction(credit card or bank deposit) the system will automatically proceed with your order.

You will soon receive an email at the account you use to login to the system, named "SSL Certificate Configuration Required". This email will contain a link to click on, to proceed with the configuration of your certificate.

Installing SSL Certificate



 

1. Visit https://dwh.dataways.gr and login to your account. Your login credentials are the email and the password you chose when you created your account.

 

 

2. Navigate to the "My Services" section and choose the hosting package in which you wish toy install the SSL certificate, by clicking on the green "Active" button.

 

 

3. On the next page, click "Login to cPanel" from the left menu.

 

 

4. You will see the home page of your cPanel. At the lower section, on "SECURITY" choose "SSL/TLS".

 

 

Click on "Generate, view, or delete SSL certificate signing requests".

 

 

On the next page, you must fill in the fields for your new certificate.

 

  • At the "domains" field, you must type your domain as stated before on "Certificate Subject Name".

  • Fill the rest of the fields with information from your company.

  • Τhe field "company division" is not of importance. You can type "I.T. Department" or whatever else you may like.

  • Make sure you type your login email to the "email" field. 

  • Do not use a Passphrase.

The "Description" field is optional. 




7. As soon as you finish with the required information, click on "Generate" at the lower section of the page. This will produce a Certificate Signing Request. You must copy & paste this Certificate Signing Request with the ---Start and ---End sections because you will need it afterwards.


8. Return to the email you received from our system labeled "SSL Certificate Configuration Required" and click on the link inside this email.

9. You will be redirected in a form which you must fill in with your companys information strictly with latin characters. In the "Certificate Signing Request" field, delete all the contents and paste the whole CSR you copied and pasted before from your cPanel.


10. When you finish you can "Click to Continue"

11. In the next step you are required to choose an email in which you will receive the approval email from the certification authority. If none of the emails showing on this list exists, you will need to add one of them as a forwarder to your account. Click here for a guide on how to add a forwarder on cPanel.


12. You will shortly receive an email from the certification authority with instructions and a verification number. You need to click on the link and copy & paste the provided verification number.


13. You will shortly receive an email from the certification authority which will contain your issued certificate in plain text and as an attachment. Please mind your email client spam filter and/or your antivirus as they might send this email to your spam folder due to the attached certificate.


13. Copy & paste the certificate from the last email and save it somewhere(Including the ---Start and ---End headers). You will need it later.

14. Login to your cPanel one more time and go back to "SSL/TLS" section. 

15. This time, click on "Manage SSL Sites". 

16. In the "Domain" field, select from the list the domain that you want a certificate installed.

17. Paste the certificate you copied from the last email in the "Certificate (CRT)" field.

18. After the paste, you will notice a new option has appeared "Autofill by Certificate". 

19. Notice that all the other fields are completed automatically. If the fields do not fill or you get a random error, we strongly advise you to come in contact with us. If no errors show, then you may click the option "Install Certificate" at the bottom of the page. You have now succesfully installed the SSL certificate for your website.
